Canadian boxers at the last gate

THE 2012 CANADIAN A-TEAM AND THE LAST GATE: By Brian Zelley

As our Canadian boxers prepare for the action, one of the boxers has been
highlighted in a story in "The Chronicle Herald" (see link),  but there will be
other stories about the team and the individuals.
Fighters down to last shot for Olympics | The Chronicle Herald
Of the Cnadian boxers only the two Nova Scotia boxer
BRODY BLAIR and CUSTIO CLAYTON are menttioned.
But the story for them all of them is the same, they must win their
first bout to hope for a spot on the Olympic team.  A loss in the
first bout will spell "End of Story", but win the first and there are
big possibilities.

The other Canadian boxers that are in the fight include
Kenny Lally of British Columbia, and Alex Rynn of Alberta.

AIBA follows the action on their web site:

As the action continued, one by one all but two were eliminated.

THE DOOR SWINGS OPEN
*As the event comes to a close, announcements were
quickly made that two of the men boxers had qualified
for the Olympic team and the names were Custio Claton
and the super-heavyweight SIMON KEAN.

THE SWINGING GATE FOR WOMEN'S BOXING:
*The swinging gate still swings for Canadian middleweight
MARY SPENCER, but due to a loss to Sweden, she will
need to sit tight for the wildcard selection.
